Weezer Frontman Recovering From Bus Crash

09 December 2009

Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo is recovering from Sunday's bus crash which left him with a punctured lung and cut spleen.

The band have since left a post on their official website thanking fans for all their support and expressing their hope that Rivers would soon be well enough to leave the hospital as he is "on the mend".
"Tomorrow the doctor says it will be time to see if Rivers can stand up again. If that goes well and his vital signs remain stable and improving, he will get to go home pretty soon! Wish him well - your positive energy and thoughts are working so far!"

Cuomo's assistant Sarah was also injured in the crash when some ice caused the bus to slide and land in a ditch while the band were travelling from Toronto to Boston for a show. Weezer have been forced to cancel all the remaining dates in their US tour this December.
