Well, well, well… we were left eating our proverbial hat last night when shouty van driver Ben Haenow was crowned winner of the X Factor 2014.
Haenow beat his fellow Londoner Fleur East to the title after Italian Andrea Faustini was kicked out of the competition on Saturday night.
Take That, Olly Murs and Demi Lovato, Sam Smith and One Direction with Ronnie Wood (?) were among the special guest performers at Wembley Arena over the weekend.
The winning song is a cover of OneRepublic's 'Something I Need', written by Ryan Tedder - himself no stranger to a pop hit.
