Elton John and Bernie Taupin recently teamed up with YouTube to run a competition that celebrates 50 years of their songwriting partnership.

The competition threw out the idea of re-imagining a music video for three of their biggest hits - 'Rocket Man', 'Bennie and the Jets' and 'Tiny Dancer', and the three winning selections were screened at the Cannes Film Festival in recent days.

John said that he was 'humbled' by the videos, which included 'Rocket Man' being interpreted by filmmaker and animator Majid Amin to reflect his own backstory, as an Iranian refugee moving to England.

Director Jack Whitley worked with choreographer Laura Brownhill for a striking 'Bennie and the Jets' video, while Max Weiland depicted a road trip in his video 'Tiny Dancer'.
