As you may have heard, the Grammy nominations came out yesterday and while there were plenty of rap and hip-hop artists strewn amongst a number of categories, one glaring omission was the latest album by A Tribe Called Quest.

The hip-hop pioneers released their sixth and final album - as member Phife Dawg passed away last year - 'We Got It From Here... Thank You 4 Your Service' last November and it was hailed by critics and fans alike as one of the best of the year.

However, it seems that the Grammys didn't think so and ATCQ member Q-Tip took to social media to air his grievances, ranting about the fact that they had been shunned as well as the fact that they were asked to close the last Grammys show in February.

"Y’all fuckin busted y'all ass to try and get us out there and perform! ," he said in the first of several videos posted to Instagram. "You think a nigga wanted to fuckin' go out there and perform after I lost my man? We closed y'all show and we don’t get no fucking nominations? The last Tribe album? My man is gone! We been doing this shit for fucking years!"
