To say it's been a rough year on Planet Earth - socially, politically and otherwise - is understating the case just a smidge.
Pink and Kelly Clarkson acknowledged the general crappiness of 2017 by opening last night's American Music Awards with an emotional rendition of R.E.M.'s 'Everybody Hurts'.
Introduced by Jamie Foxx as "two of the world’s most powerful voices", he said that they had joined forces "to pay respects to all those affected by the events of the last year."
Their duet earned a standing ovation from the crowd, which you can see below:
