With Obama running into the last few months of his time in office, it seems that he is already metaphorically loosening his tie and getting down with the 'kidz'.

The US president invited a special guest, aka Ben Haggerty, aka Macklemore to the White House over the weekend to discuss opioid addiction.

Macklemore has spoken out about the topic in the past, and a track on his new album 'This Unruly Mess I've Made' even tackles the very subject.

The smartly-dressed rapper says: "I take this personally. I have abused prescription drugs and I have battled with addiction. If I hadn't of got the help that I needed when I needed it, I definitely would not be here today. I want to help others facing the same challenges that I did."
