As anyone who knows, being in the middle of the pit at a heavy metal concert can be a sweaty and exhausting experience.

Despite the good-natured headbanging, you can often find yourself getting a couple of knocks and bruises here and there.

However, at one gig by heavy metal group Trivium in the O2 Academy in Birmingham, two fans became unconscious and passed out.

The lead singer of the group, Mat Heafy quickly stopped everything and parted the crowd to allow medics and fellow fans help the young man to his feet and get him sorted.

No joke, people at heavy metal gigs are some of the nicest, most genuine people you'll ever meet and we speak from experience.
