The Ruby Sessions is an institution on the Dublin music scene, with famous faces regularly popping in for an appearance at the acoustic night at Doyle's on Tuesday evenings throughout the year.

Given the time of year that's in it, this Tuesday's shindig took a particularly packed festive turn, with some big Irish artists and bands like Kodaline, Danny O'Reilly of The Coronas, Gavin James, Little Hours, Roisin O, Hudson Taylor and more turning up to play and team up on each others' songs.

One of them was a group performance of Fleetwood Mac's 'The Chain' which went down very well with the crowd (click to play):

The finale was a team effort where all the musicians crammed onto the tiny stage to play The Pogues & Kirsty MacColl's 'Fairytale of New York'.
