Justin Timberlake may have landed one of the biggest gigs in the entertainment world when he plays the Super Bowl Halftime Show next month, but the announcement was met with anger by some people.
Janet Jackson fans made their feelings known about the star returning to the stage for the first time since the infamous 'wardrobe malfunction' incident in 2004, accusing Timberlake of throwing Jackson under the bus without apology in the aftermath.
Now, in a new interview with Zane Lowe to promote his forthcoming album 'Man of the Woods', Timberlake has discussed the incident for the first time.
“I had my wires crossed and it’s just something that you have to look back on and go like, ‘Okay, well you know, you can’t change what’s happened but you can move forward and learn from it,'” he said.
He also claimed that he and Jackson had 'made peace', saying: "I don’t know that a lot of people know that. I mean, I don’t think it’s my job to do that. Because you value the relationships that you do have with people.”
