We were already aware of Imelda May's dramatic new haircut, but it seems the Dubliner is changing up her sound for her forthcoming album, too.

'Call Me', the first single from the album, has premiered online and sees her shy away from her rockabilly roots for a more soul-oriented sound.

"I always loved the Fifties rockabilly style but there was a point where I felt I was almost dressing up as Imelda May," she said of her reinvention. "It was as if I was getting into character for a gig. And I didn’t want to do that anymore. This is me.”
