Before he passed away last Christmas, George Michael had been involved in the making of a documentary of his life and career for US TV network Showtime.

It's called 'George Michael: Freedom' and will incorporate unseen archival, the star's personal anecdotes and private home footage, with a particular focus on the late '80s and early '90s, when his fame was at its height.

It will also provide a 'first-person account' of his lengthy battle with Sony Music and features contributions from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Mark Ronson, Mary J. Blige and Liam Gallagher.

It's set to debut on Showtime on October 21st, but the first teaser has been released and can be seen below:
