The Stone Roses played the first of their homecoming gigs at Manchester's Etihad Stadium last night, and there were more than a few famous faces in the crowd.

Two of them belonged to David Beckham - who has made no secret of his love of Ian Brown and co. in the past - and his son Brooklyn.

The pair met the band backstage before the gig, and then Brown dedicated 'This Is the One' to the former footballer, who couldn't contain his delight.

He was probably just happy that they didn't dedicate new song 'All for One' to him, to be frank.
