Bono may be recovering in Dublin from a recent bike accident that left him with multiple fractures and a broken elbow and shoulder blade - but the show must go on for the other members of U2.

The Edge, Larry and Adam played a gig for World Aids Day in New York yesterday, but they had a few famous friends stepping into their frontman's role for a gig billed as 'U2 Minus 1'.

Chris Martin of Coldplay turned up to sing 'With or Without You' and 'Beautiful Day', while none other than Bruce Springsteen provided vocals on 'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For' and 'Where the Streets Have No Name'.
