Bjork has never been an artist to play it safe or do anything by-the-numbers - but her newest venture is one of her more impressive yet.

As part of the Bjork Digital exhibition that's currently running at the Red Bull Music Academy in Montreal, Canada (having also recently exhibited in Sydney, Tokyo and London), a teaser for her track 'Family' has gone online to give people a taste of what the exhibition holds.

It's not the first time she's done a Virtual Reality video, but like the previous 'Stonemilker' and 'Black Lake' pieces, 'Family' was directed by Andrew Thomas Huang, who said: "All the landscapes that you see in the piece are actual landscape scans of the sets that we shot in Black Lake. They‘re meaningful scans, they‘re not just any Icelandic environments... You‘ll be traveling inside an embroidered piece designed by James Merry that‘s kind of like your magic carpet taking you through the world. We got actual motion-capture of Björk, so her presence is there in the piece.”

The good news is that entertainment.ie will be at the RBMA next week, so we'll be back with a first-hand report (and photos) of just how bonkers the exhibition really is.

Until then, watch a mind-bending teaser for 'Family' below:
