The Grammys take place tonight - yes, on a Monday rather than the usual Sunday night - and there have been the usual slew of pre-Grammys parties taking place over the weekend.

One of them, hosted by music mogul Clive Davis, turned up a pretty excellent collaboration as last year's Album of the Year winner Beck teamed up with the surviving members of Nirvana - Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear (the unofficial fourth member who now also plays with Grohl in Foo Fighters.)

They covered David Bowie's 'The Man Who Sold the World', which Nirvana famously covered on their MTV Unplugged live album.

The Grammys take place in LA tonight with rapper LL Cool J on hosting duties. Lady Gaga is also set to perform a tribute to Bowie.
