Want to see the UK's biggest-selling albums of the decade so far? You may be surprised..

A list of the UK's best-selling albums of the decade so far has been compiled by The Official Charts Company.

This doesn't include Ireland, obviously, but you can surmise that the purchasing patterns of the Irish music-buying public would be pretty similar to the UK's.

It's no surprise to learn that Adele's '21' tops the chart, selling over 4.7 million copies in the UK alone to date.

You may not have guessed the number two or three spots as easily, however. Number two is Take That's 'Progress', with over 2.3 million sales, while Michael Bublé's Christmas album, titled… errr… 'Christmas', is number three with over 2.2 million sales. Emeli Sandé and Ed Sheeran complete the Top 5, with 2, 208,000 sales of 'Our Version of Events' and 2,134,000 of 'x', respectively. Sheeran's sales figures are especially impressive, given that that album was only released last year.

Other surprises? How about Olly Murs featuring pretty prominently? He even outsold One Direction. Or Greatest Hits collections by Bon Jovi and Pink? Also, do that many people really like Jessie J, and if so, who are they? Show yourselves…
