Villagers sit atop the Irish album charts
The second Villagers album, {Awayland}, today sits atop the summit of the Irish album charts, pipping the soundtrack to Les Miserables into second place. Ed Sheeran's + was no doubt bolstered by his recent shows in The O2, rising to third place overall and marking an astounding 71 weeks in the charts.
Emeli Sande's Our Version of Events is in at number four, while Rihanna's Unapologetic makes up the rest of the top five. For the full chart list, throw your eyes over the IRMA website.
We were particularly emphatic in our praise of the Villagers album in our review, which you can read here, and also had a sit-down with Villagers' Conor J. O'Brien about the new record, which you can read over yonder.
