First it was on, then it was off. Then it was on again, but without Posh and Sporty. Then it was off again, but then it was back on with Ginger, Baby and Scary under the new name of 'GEM'.

It's fair to say that the touted Spice Girls' reunion has turned into something of a saga, but it looks like we might have an answer once and for all, if the latest reports are true.

According to The Sun, Victoria Beckham has instructed her lawyers to legally block the remaining members from performing the girl group's songs in a move that may cost them £10 million.

Their source said: "The girls are devastated. It is an extremely sad way for things to end… Victoria was a huge part of their lives and now she is using lawyers to block their comeback.

“Victoria is proud of her Spice Girls history but this suggests she wants to cut all links with the group which transformed her life. She is resorting to aggressive legal letters and it is an extremely sad way for things to end after all they have been through together.”

None of the other members have commented on the claims - but considering Victoria Beckham's reluctance to get them back together, does it mean that we will... sob... never see a Spice reunion?
