Toni Braxton hospitalised by potentially deadly autoimmune disease
American R&B singer Toni Braxton has been hospitalised in the United States for complications arising from Lupus, according to the A.P. The singer has battled the potentially deadly autoimmune disease for two years and needed urgent treatment for blood clots arising from the disease.
The singer took to Twitter to explain the situation to her fans, saying: "Hey guys, I'm in the hospital for health issues related to Lupus & blood clots, I will be home soon... Thanks for all the love & support."
Braxton revealed that she was suffering from the disease, which killed her uncle, two years ago - as well as a narrowing of the blood vessels in her heart.
This is Braxton's second health scare of the year. She was rushed to hospital in Los Angeles in January of this year when he immune system began to shut down, another result of her Lupus diagnosis.
