If you managed to get your hands on a ticket for One Direction's forthcoming Irish gigs, you can count yourself lucky (or unlucky, depending on your feelings towards Harry Styles and co.)

In any case, tickets for the gigs at Dublin's 3Arena (October 16th, 17th and 18th) and Belfast's SSE Arena (October 20th, 21st and 22nd) are like gold dust, especially since it's probably the last time that the world's biggest boyband will play Ireland for a long time, since they're taking "an extended break" next year.

The support act for the group's UK and Irish dates has just been announced and if you were at Ed Sheeran's Croke Park gigs in July, it's a name you'll already be familiar with. (No, it's not Ed Sheeran).

Jamie Lawson, who is signed to Sheeran's label Gingerbread Records, will support 1D at all dates on the tour.

The tour coincides with the release of his own self-titled debut album on October 9th, while he'll also headline Whelan's on November 1st.
