Hands up who had 'Oasis reunion in 2018' on their list for Santa this year? Well, sorry if so... you may be waiting a whole longer.

It seemed like a Christmas miracle when Liam Gallagher tweeted about his apparent reconciliation with brother Noel following their long-standing feud. Just before the festive break, Liam had tweeted his best wishes to 'team NG' and confirmed that they were 'all good again' - but it seems that the truce may have only been temporary.

Either that, or one or both of them is playing us all like a fiddle.

In any case, it seems that Liam's hackles have been raised once more by Noel's recent comments about performers who don't sing songs that they've written themselves - naming his younger brother as an example.

He told the Sodajerker podcast: "I’m offended by singer/songwriters who when you scratch the surface don’t do any f***ing songwriting. As far as I’m aware if you scratch the surface of any solo artist in Britain and they’ve all got a team of songwriters behind them apart from me, Paul Weller and Johnny Marr, I’m struggling to think of anybody else. Richard Ashcroft, Our Kid (Liam) all the way to f***ing Ed Sheeran and the little fella from One Direction they’ve all got an army of songwriters behind them.”

Needless to say, those comments didn't go down well with Liam - who also referenced Noel's recent tour with U2 and his comments that he was 'over' playing to stadiums:
