If this is true, it could be disastrous for the legacy of one of the biggest pop bands of all time.

By now, we all know that the Spice Girls reunion is going ahead with just three members - Mel B, Geri and Emma. However, rumours abound that the trio are in talks for a reality TV show that will see them recruit an extra member to replace Mel C and Victoria.

The Daily Mail report that the trio approached the BBC with the idea of a show along the lines of 'Any Dream Will Do' or 'How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?', which found leads for West End musicals Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and The Sound of Music, respectively.

They say that the show will take place over five consecutive nights next April, with a live final taking place on BBC1 - and the winner will join them at Hyde Park next July for their 21st anniversary gig.

So basically, if your childhood dream was to be the Spice Girls, you might actually have a shot at it.

We're not sure what the extra randomer would do for the chemistry of the band, but it looks like we'll have to wait and see...
