Mark E. Smith of The Fall has never been afraid to court controversy or speak his mind - but the latest headline surrounding his band sounds more like an unfortunate coinicidence than anything malicious.

The Fall have just announced their new album 'New Facts Emerge' on July 28th, and one of the songs on the tracklisting has raised eyebrows following last week's terrorist attack in Manchester.

It's called 'Victoria Train Station Massacre', and considering that the bomb exploded in a foyer connecting the Manchester Arena to Victoria Train Station, it has raised a few eyebrows.

Smith has yet to comment on the matter, but a rep for The Fall's label Cherry Red said: "The track is nothing to do with the events last week, but it is an unfortunate coincidence. The track was recorded and the artwork sent off for manufacture long before the terrible events in Manchester.”
