It's the news that Divine Comedy fans have been waiting for for several years - the new album finally has a release date, and it's not too far in the future.
The band led by Neil Hannon will release 'Foreverland' on September 2nd, making it their first album since 2010's 'Bang Goes the Knighthood'.
Of course, Hannon has not been twiddling his thumbs since then, as he released the second cricket-themed album by The Duckworth Lewis Method, amongst other projects.
The new album, he says, is "about meeting your soul mate and living happily ever after... and then what comes after happily ever after. Get ready for the most historically inaccurate hit of the summer'.
They'll embark on a UK tour in October, but Irish fans will have to wait a little longer to hear those songs live, as they'll also play a date at Dublin's Bord Gais Energy Theatre on February 26th, 2017. Tickets are €33.50 including booking fee and on sale from usual outlets this Friday, May 20th at 9am.
