They have a number of big gigs already lined up next summer, including dates at Dublin's Royal Hospital, Kilmainham and at Cork's Live at the Marquee.

Now, The Coronas will stake their flag in Bundoran, Co, Donegal too, as they've just been announced as headliners of the Sea Sessions festival in 2017.

Festival director Ray O'Donoghue said: "The Coronas played Sea Sessions about 5 years ago. We caught their set at Electric Picnic recently and it was unreal. They’re a great live band with a big back catalogue and are well overdue a trip back up to the Northwest.”

The festival takes place from June 23rd - 25th and will also see Primal Scream headline one of the nights, after Bobby Gillespie's injury forced their cancellation this year.

Tickets are on sale from usual outlets now, at €99.90 for 3 days and €114.90 including 4 nights camping. There are also limited day tickets available from €49.50 and Surfers’ Bar upgrades from €50 extra.
