Former Rolling Stones members Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor will perform with the rest of the band for the upcoming 50 And Counting shows. Wyman played with the band from 1962 until retiring in 1993, while Taylor was a Rolling Stone from 1969 to 1974 and was the original replacement for the now deceased Brian Jones. This will be the first time that this line-up has played together in over twenty years.

The 50 And Counting tour begins in London on November 25th and 29th and will celebrate the Stones reaching half a century as an active band, before they embark off to Newark in New Jersey for the final two dates of this briefest of comeback tours.

Black market tickets for the four gigs are said to be moving for as much as £5,000 per head. Any hopes of an Irish Rolling Stones show were dashed when Bon Jovi were announced as next year's Slane headliners, as the Meath venue was tipped as possible host to one more Irish Stones show. Who knows if we'll ever seem them on an Irish stage again.
