Have you ever loved a little-known band that went on to achieve global success?
Your cries of 'I liked them before they were famous' infuriatingly fell on deaf ears as your friends rolled their eyes and said 'Sure you did. Sure you did.'
Well, now Spotify has come up with something that will soothe your irritation in such matters and offer proof of your bragging rights.
The streaming service has just introduced a 'Found Them First' feature, which tells your fellow users whether you were amongst the first people to stream a band who subsequently went on to big things.
"We love creating fresh ways for people to interact with music," said Jackie Jantos of Spotify. "This experience is an ode to the fans who truly love discovering new artists. Users are rewarded for listening early on, and earn some bragging rights. Of course, if you haven't discovered any new artists early on, and want to, Spotify can help you with that."
