Music streaming company Spotify have ranked the most influential artists under the age of 25, and the person at number one will probably come as no surprise to most.
The factors taken into account for the top ten included the volume of streams, the artist's performance on Spotify's viral charts, and the number of #1 hits that they've clocked up.
It seems that young British artists did particularly well alongside their largely American counterparts, with Disclosure in particular proving a surprise entry at number 6. Ed Sheeran's top-of-the-chart placing will come as no surprise, considering he was announced the most-streamed artist on the service last December, while it seems that Zayn Malik's departure from One Direction proved a positive move for the band, as streams of their music on Spotify increased by a whopping 796%.
Needless to say, the below list only includes artists who have their music on Spotify, so the likes of Taylor Swift were not taken into account.
