Snow Patrol and Florence + The Machine announce Phoenix Park date

17 February 2012

Snow Patrol and Florence + The Machine have confirmed a major concert at Dublin's Phoenix Park on Sunday 8th July. This is the second such announcement of a major concert to take place at Phoenix Park, following The Stone Roses show which will take place three days prior.

Large outdoor gig such as these will go some way to filling the void of the cancellation of the Oxegen festival, which left a gaping hole in the middle of Ireland's summer gig calendar.

Both Snow Patrol and Florence + The Machine have been very active lately. Snow Patrol released their sixth studio album Fallen Empires in November of last year, while Florence + The Machine's sophomore album Ceremonials was released one month before that.

Tickets will go on sale from 8am on Friday 24th February and will set you back a not completely unreasonable €59.50.
