Sea Sessions this afternoon released the name of the first headliner for this summer's festival on their Twitter page- Fat Freddy's Drop. One of New Zealand's finest musical exports, Fat Freddy's Drop fuse elements of reggae, soul, funk and roots to create a hypnotic sound all of their own.

Sea Sessions will take place in the Donegal town of Bundoran over the weekend of 21st to 23rd June.

Ray O'Donoghue, organiser of Sea Sessions, said of the band: "[Fat Freddy's Drop] are an astonishing live band and will be absolutely perfect for our audience."

"I think anyone who's come to the festival over the years knows the festival delivers a great line-up", he continued. "If there's been a theme this year, it's to try to steer away from anything overtly commercial and go for the sort of acts that suit the event."
