Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears to appear on new Queens of the Stone Age record
Here's something that caught us by surprise today: Scissor Sisters' enigmatic frontman Jake Shears will appear on the upcoming sixth Queens of the Stone Age album. Shears joins an already stellar cast of guest stars, includging Dave Grohl, Trent Reznor and former QOTSA bassist Nick Olivieri.
Shears recently tweeted a picture of him being embraced by QOTSA front-man Josh Homme and wrote: "Jake Shears + Queens of the Stone Age = satanic cabaret."
This came a week or so after a rather more cryptic tweet which read: "I just got to do something insanely cool with some fierce Queens."
Shears has gone on the record in the past as saying a Queens of the Stone Age project would be his dream collaboration, so we suspect Shears has had something of a great Christmas and New Year's.
