If you ever made the mistake of thinking pop bands were free from drama, think again.

S Club 7 have been back in the news over the past few weeks because of former member Paul Cattermole's decision to sell his BRIT Award on eBay. The first one went for £66,100 and the second is currently up for auction.

With his name back in the headlines, Cattermole - who left the reunited version of the band in 2015 - did a new interview with NME to discuss what he was up to these days and what happened to make him leave, and let's just say that he's not entirely complimentary of his bandmates.

Explaining Jo O'Meara's re-introduction to the band in 2008, he said: "Me and Bradley were doing [S Club] for about two years – and then Jo came along. That bully from Essex came along and bullied her way into the situation."

O'Meara responded to the comments via a statement from the latest version of the group, S Club 3, which read: "Prior to 2008, Bradley McIntosh and Paul Cattermole were doing a number of DJ sets which proved to be successful and due to their success we, SLNB [Management]/ Loco Talent [Agent], approached Jo O’Meara in 2008 to ask if she would be interested in working in a new project called SC3. Jo agreed and from that point onwards they have been working ever since.

It continued: "A number of years later, Tina Barrett was also approached by us and agreed to join in the project. In 2015 Paul made a decision that he no longer wanted to be part of the project as he wanted to concentrate more on acting. The door was always left open for Paul to return to the project if ever he wanted to.

“We wish Paul all the best in his future endeavours.”

Can't we all just.... get along?
