Roger Waters brings 'The Wall' to Ireland - Live Interview at 12.30pm TODAY!
The New York Post hails it as "the best show ever. Period", The Times call it a "triumph of scale and ambition", while The Guardian maintains it is "impossible not to be impressed with this show as a sensory experience". What are they talking about? It could really only be Roger Waters' aural and visual extravaganza - Roger Waters' The Wall.
Waters is bringing his culturally-defining show to the Aviva Stadium on September 18th next year as part of a massive European tour, featuring a full band and state-of-the-art production.
Roger Waters said of the show: "I’m extremely glad to be playing The Wall in Europe again. It’s going to be a lot of fun for all of us. I’ve reworked the show to play outdoors in large stadiums. It’s really good. Even more moving, engaging, dramatic and thrilling than the Arena shows. I’ve had to rethink the whole thing about stadiums. This wide wall stadium show couldn’t have been done 40 years ago. We couldn’t have filled the space in a way that would have been emotionally, musically and theatrically satisfying. Technology has changed. Now we can."
Waters will talk about the tour live via webcast from 12.30pm at Facebook.com/RogerWaters today.
