He's frontman of one of the biggest rock bands of all time, but The Who's Roger Daltrey is pessimistic about the future of the genre.
Daltrey, who played with The Who at the recent Desert Trip festival, told The Times that nobody in rock had anything to say anymore.
“The sadness for me is that rock has reached a dead end," he said. "The only people saying things that matter are the rappers and most pop is meaningless and forgettable.”
He added: “You watch these [new pop stars] and you can’t remember a bloody thing.”
