Robbie Williams may always come across as an upbeat cheeky-chappy, but like any of us he is prone to feeling down.

In a new interview, he has spoken about how that feeling became so overwhelming that he decided to seek out medication to help,

He told the Radio Times that he went through a period of feeling 'isolated' and being unable to connect to anyone apart from his wife, Ayda Field.

“But it happens to coincide with finding a different medication … It’s called Brintellix,” he said. “I had a really weird summer. Just couldn’t connect with anybody, apart from my wife. I didn’t know how to talk to anybody, even people who are with me every day. I was isolated, in my head.

"It was troublesome and sad. Then I tried this anti-depressant and things have changed. The demons are quiet.”
