Robbie Tops Desert Island Poll Ahead of Comeback

10 September 2009

Ahead of the release of his comeback single 'Bodies' on October 12th, Robbie Williams has topped a poll by the PRS For Music, to become the most popular male artist people would like to take with them to a desert island. Meanwhile, his 'Kids' duet partner Kylie Minogue has taken the top spot on the female poll.

The Top 5 Men and women to take to a desert island are as follows:

Lads

1. Robbie Williams
2. Paul McCartney
3. Mick Jagger
4. Eminem
5. Liam Gallagher

Lasses

1. Kylie Minogue
2. Cheryl Cole
3. Leona Lewis
4. Madonna
5. Lady Gaga

Sadly for the Take That outcast, he only made it to second place in the poll for songs most people would take to a desert island, behind Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. He did, however, still beat off competition from Abba, Elvis and Michael Jackson!

The top 10 tracks people would take to a desert island are:

1. Queen – 'Bohemian Rhapsody'

3. Queen – 'Don't Stop Me Now'

7. Elvis Presley – 'Suspicious Minds'
8. Louis Armstrong – 'Wonderful Road'
9. Guns N'Roses – 'Sweet Child O' Mine'
