Johnny Borrell, lead singer of English indie-rockers Razorlight, will play a number of Irish dates on his forthcoming solo tour.

The singer and guitarist will be joined by backing band Zazou for a minimalist set "full of piano and saxophone", according to the press release. That's quite the heady brew, if you ask us.

Razorlight remain an ongoing concern, but Borrell released his debut solo album 'Borrell 1' in 2013, although it failed to chart.

Nonetheless, he has continued with his solo career and plays the following Irish dates next month:

June 18th | Judge Roy Bean's, Newbridge

June 19th | Coughlan's, Cork

June 20th | The Grand Social, Dublin
