The last time Frankie Cosmos played Dublin, the venue was rammed to the gills with people eager to hear the New Yorker's charming indiepop tunes.

Now, Cosmos (aka Greta (daughter of Kevin) Kline) and her band will return for second helpings at The Button Factory on Friday, August 23rd.

Before that, we had a chat with Kline where she answered all of life's important conundrums in entertainment.ie's Big Questionnaire.

What’s the music that you listened to growing up, that you still listen to today?
Liz Phair

When did you first realise you wanted a career in music?
I’m on the verge of realising it!

In three words, describe the minute before you walk on stage.
Pee and sing.

How do you wind down after a gig?
Have a snack and go to bed!

What’s the one song you wish you’d written or recorded first?
Hmm, I don’t really covet other people’s songs. All the songs I love are so good because of the people who made them! I honestly can’t think of one.

What song of yours are you most proud of?
It changes all the time, but one off the new record I’m proud of is Accommodate, because ever since I wrote it, I haven’t felt the need to keep writing about the subject of it.

What’s your favourite venue to perform in?
Someone’s house.

Your best and worst gig so far?
The worst gig so far of my life is probably one last summer where I was going on no sleep and just had a bit of a breakdown and almost cancelled the rest of the year of touring. There’s not really a best gig ever, I think every show is special in its own way!

Whose career do you envy, and why?
Anyone who works with dogs, because I love dogs so much. I would love a job that has me interacting with dogs every day.

Vinyl or digital downloads?
I guess vinyl, because of the art. Both take up space.

Give your thoughts on Spotify in three words.
Too complicated.

You can only have three albums on your phone/in your house at any one time - what three would you pick for today?
'Thx' by Lomelda,'Invasion of Privacy' by Cardi B, 'Yes And No' by Anna McClellan.

Name one piece of music memorabilia that you wish you owned.
I don’t really wish I owned any music memorabilia haha.

Name one record, one book and one film that everyone should hear / read / see.
'Hi Fi Snock Uptown' by Michael Hurley, 'Bluets' by Maggie Nelson, and it’s not a movie but... all of the series 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer'.

Pick the director and lead actor(s) for a biopic about your life.
Judd Apatow movie starring Aubrey Plaza (i don’t know anything about movies).

You’re ordering take-away, what do you get?
Sesame tofu, broccoli with garlic sauce, white rice.

You’ve been given €100,000 to spend, but only 1 hour to spend it. What do you buy?
Donate it all.

Describe your perfect day off.
Watching TV.

Tell us, in one sentence, why we should come to your gig.
You should come because you like Frankie Cosmos and/or Squarehead.
