Over the years, the colour purple has been long associated with Prince - both for its connotations of royalty and because, well, everyone assumed that he just really liked it.
Now it turns out that the late star wasn't as fond of purple as everyone has assumed, according to his sister, who says that his favourite colour was actually orange. Yes, orange.
Tyka Nelson broke the news in an interview with London newspaper the Evening Standard ahead of a Prince exhibition opening in London in October. “It is strange because people always associate the colour purple with Prince…”she said. "But his favourite colour was actually orange.”
Someone get onto Pantone, stat. 'Orange Rain' doesn't quite have the same ring to it, does it?
