Gig cancellations happen all the time, but free pizza does not.
Lady Gaga proved herself worthy of her fans' adoration in Montreal the other night by doing something really sound for them after cancelling a gig through illness.
The pop superstar cancelled the Montreal stop-off of her Joanne tour after becoming sick from performing in the rain in New York last week, writing on Twitter: "To my beautiful fans. I couldn’t be more devastated that I am unable to perform tonight. I sing this entire show live, and pride myself on giving it all, but when I sang in the rain at Citi Field I got sick and have been pushing through.”
Fans had gathered outside her hotel in the Canadian city, so rather than leave them both disappointed AND hungry, she ordered them some pizza - as well as allegedly sending down some free signed merch.
I'm sending free ðŸ?• to any monsters outside my hotel The William Gray Montréal ðŸ˜. I love u so much & I'm so sorry u are the most loyal fans.
