If you're a Prince fan, collectors' items don't come much better than this.

Prince recorded an album in 1987 and was due to release it that year, but it was ultimately shelved because of a superstition the iconic musician had about it; allegedly, he became convinced that it was created by a demon and was 'evil'.

Although 'The Black Album' was later released on CD and cassette - and you can even hear it on YouTube, below - half a million copies of the vinyl record were recalled and destroyed. However, it seems that several copies survived the cull and five of them were found in a former record label employee's attic recently.

The employee apparently stumbled upon them when his daughter got a turntable and was looking for albums to play - and he has already sold two of them, one for $20,000 and another for $15,000.

The remaining copies are still in pristine condition, so if you're a Prince obsessive who's looking for the ultimate rare memorabilia item... break open the piggy bank now.
