As we reported this morning, a biopic of Madonna's life is in the works at Universal.

The script for Blonde Ambition topped the 2016 Black List and attracted attention from plenty of producers but in the end it was Brett Ratner and Michael De Luca that won out. Written by Elyse Hollander, the story is expected to focus on the early years of Madge's career, leading up to the release of her self titled debut album.

However, while the project is going full speed ahead, it looks like it doesn't have the blessing of the Queen of Pop herself. Madonna took to her Instagram this evening to comment on the news and she did not have kind words for any "charlatan" that tries to tell her story.

"Looking for instant gratification without doing the work. This is a disease in our society." the post concludes.

Harsh words indeed. We doubt this is the last she'll have to say about the project either.
