Oxegen 2012 Moving To Phoenix Park?

Not so, say Oxegen head honchos...

Rumours are circulating this morning that next year's Oxegen is moving from Punchestown in Kildare to the Phoenix Park in Dublin... Imagine the Luas...

Capacity for the alleged venue is in the region of 50,000 meaning there would be 30,000 less tickets up for grabs, and there wouldn't be any camping.

Oxegen.ie have since released this statement: "Following unconfirmed speculation in a morning newspaper, Oxegen promoters can confirm that Oxegen is not moving to Phoenix Park. For accurate information on Oxegen, find us on Facebook or Twitter or keep an eye on our Oxegen website. Details of Oxegen 2012 will be announced at a later date."
