Last month, we brought you news of Yoko Ono's attempt at breaking the record for the world's largest human peace sign.

Ono had planned the event in New York's Central Park yesterday to commemorate what would have been John Lennon's 75th birthday on Friday.

5,000 people were needed to beat the record, with the artist hoping that between 6,000 and 10,000 people would show up - but as NME reports, only 2,000 people showed up.

Nevertheless, she remained in chipper mood, taking to Twitter to thank those who did turn up.
