Okkervil River, Wild Beasts Offer Free Download Singles

This week, two my personal favourites are offering singles from their upcoming new albums as free downloads. On May 6th, Wild Beasts will release 'Smother', the follow up to their brilliant 2009 album 'Two Dancers'. To celebrate, their allowing fans who "like" their facebook page to download lead single 'Albatross' absolutely free.

The single will also be released as a limited 7" vinyl single for Record Store Day on April 16th, with a single bundle to follow on May 2nd.

Wild Beasts will play Kilmainham's Forbidden Fruit festival on Saturday June 4th.

Meanwhile, also on May 6th, Texan rockers Okkervil River will release their sixth album 'I Am Very Far'. Back in January, the band gave fans their first taster of the album with a live performance of lead track 'Wake And Be Fine' on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. Now, the album version of the track is available to download for those who sign up to the band's mailing list at okkervilriver.com
