Last week, we brought you the news that Thom Yorke's original handwritten lyrics for the Radiohead song 'Airbag' were up for charity auction.

Now, the latest item of memorabilia on sale for the discerning music fan is the piano that was used on Oasis's debut album 'Definitely Maybe', which also featured on the sleeve of their single 'Supersonic'.

The Yamaha C3 grand piano is on sale on eBay with a starting bid of £1,000, reports NME, who say that it has also been used by The Charlatans, Catatonia, Manic Street Preachers, Black Sabbath and Stereophonics at Monnow Valley Studios in Wales, where 'Definitely Maybe' was recorded.

The eBay listing reads:

"The piano was bought new in the late 1980s from Cranes in Cardiff and has featured on some of the best known records in the world. Most famously, it appeared on the cover of the single which spawned Britpop - Oasis' Supersonic - and was used on their album 'Definitely Maybe', recorded here in 1993. It has been played by the majority of our client list - from The Charlatans, Catatonia, Manic Street Preachers, Black Sabbath, Stereophonics & Simple Minds to Charlie Simpson and Bellowhead... amongst many more!

"It has been well used over the years, but is still very much a playable beginner's instrument. With 2 or 3 tunings a year, it will be stable enough for home use. For anything more, it would need a full refurb - however, the price fully reflects this. We anticipate that it would be of interest to either an Oasis super fan or someone looking for an entry level grand piano with the most interesting legacy in the country."

At time of writing, bidding is at £1,800 with 8 days to go.
