Noel Gallagher has revealed his feelings towards one of his former band's biggest hits in a new interview - and it turns out that he doesn't actually like it that much.

No doubt that Gallagher has played 'Wonderwall' thousands of times throughout his lifetime since it was first released in 1996, which may contibute towards his feelings on the track.

In a new interview set to air in full on his 50th birthday this coming Monday, he told Absolute Radio: “’Wonderwall’ has become a worldwide hit, and I will get stopped all over the world, in any city you care to name, and people will sing ‘Wonderwall'. I don’t particularly like that song – I think ‘Cigarettes And Alcohol’ is a far superior song.”

He also reckons that the band's debut 'Definitely Maybe' is a superior album to '(What's the Story) Morning Glory', saying: "And for the life of me, I still can’t work out why ‘Morning Glory’ would have sold 20-odd million, and ‘Definitely Maybe’ only, like, five or six.”

Gallagher's younger brother and main antagonist Liam had tweeted earlier this week about him supposedly not inviting any of his family members to his 50th birthday party, 'not even his own mother' - but the tweet has since been deleted.
