No Slane concert in 2012, announces Lord Henry Mount Charles

All will be quiet at Slane Castle this summer. News ha filtered out this morning that there will be no concert at the famous Meath venue in 2012.
A message posted on the official Slane Facebook page today went as follows: "Good morning guys, Lord Henry has announced this morning 'there will be no Slane this year, but 2013 will be busy."
2008 and 2010 were also lull years, but last year's concert was headlined by Kings of Leon, Elbow and Thin Lizzy.
The Slane concerts made their debut in 1981 with a now legendary line-up, which included Thin Lizzy and U2 and has gone on to host performances by The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Queen, David Bowie, Guns N' Roses, R.E.M., Madonna and more over the years.
