OH GOD, THE RUMOURS ARE TRUE! 

A report by Dan Wooton in The Sun on Sunday caused much gnashing of teeth and flailing of arms when it was suggested that One Direction would be going on an extended break next year, and would not be touring their new album.

The story had not been confirmed or denied by any member of the band (although the whole thing with The Sun was obviously carefully orchestrated by management, etc.) until last night, when Mullingar's own Niall Horan broke his silence with the below tweets:
