Ohian due The Black Keys have announced that they expect their seventh album to be released before the end of the year. It's only been a year since their most recent album Brothers hit the shelves and it proved to be their most successful, both commercially and critically.

Frontman Dan Auerbach said of the new album to Canadian website Voir.ca "it doesn't really sound like Brothers...[it has] most guitar and rock 'n roll", also stating that it's their "fastest" album to date, making reference to bands like The Cramps, The Clash and Rolling Stones as the primary influences.

Can't wait for this one! Brothers was this writer's favourite album of last year.
